VOLIRIS training

VOLIRIS is the only formation centre able to train you in the Microlight French 5 classes

Trainings with AUTOGYRO, ULTRALIGHT TRIKES and MULTIAXIS are permanent, depending on weather, of course ! Trainings with POWERED PARACHUTES are held in the summer, trainings with AIRSHIP imposes a prearranged agreement

Students and trainees from afar have the opportunity to stay on airfield site in the Accommodation centre located on the airfield. A 2 beds room costs 14.30 euros and 9.20 euros for a single bed room. It is recommended to provide your own sleeping. Otherwise, you can rent linen for 4.40 Euros. Voliris has a partnership with the microlight local club. This allows trainees to take advantage of local club house but also to rent the microlights aircrafts.: More information on the Club website:

Gyro
Training "gyro" is certainly the most flexible. The latter isn’t affected by the turbulence and the wind. It can fly all year round. Only the cold or rain can stop the trainging. The price of the training flight hour is 150 euros VAT incl. You’ll need more or less 10 hours of conversion training if you are already qualified pilot, and between 15 and 25 hours, depending on your age and motivation if you are a beginner. According to the possibilities of the Gyro, it is possible to consider a one-week training for those who are already pilots. The training autogyro is a Magny M16. The theoretical training on the ground is done in parallel to the flight training. Specific autogyro theoretical courses takes 15 hours and general theory for microlight formation takes 20 hours. These courses are free for beginners trainees. The price is 40 Euros/hour for others trainees. The theory courses are not compulsory and are provided on request of the trainee (it depends on your aeronautic knowledge).

Multiaxis
After the "gyro", multiaxis is certainly the microlight aircraft that has the best using potential. It’s more affected by turbulence than the autogyro, but nevertheless it remains flyable without physical fatigue ! The training is done with a SKY RANGER. One hour training costs 115 euros VAT incl. You will need an average of 15 training hours to be able fly alone. However, the conversion of aircraft pilots can be done in a few hours. Specific multiaxis theoretical courses takes more or less 20 hours. These are included in the flying hour fees for beginners (complete formation to graduate). The price is 40 Euros/hour for others trainees. The theory courses are not compulsory and are provided on request of the trainee (it depends on your aeronautic knowledge and capability to learn by yourself).

Microligt trikes
Microligt trikes are certainly the most microlight minded aircraft ! It combines simplicity, robustness, reliability, ease of implementation and maintenance, good ageing, affordable with a singular look which has no equivalent in the world of aircrafts. As with the other microlight classes, it takes approximately 15 training hours of basical training (to be able to fly alone One hour training costs 105 euros VAT incl. The training is done with a Synairgie or DTA trike. However, as trikes are more affected by turbulences and wind, the using potential can be less important. As other microlights, specific trike theoretical courses takes more or less 20 hours and are included in the flying hour fees for beginners (complete formation to graduate). The price is 40 Euros/hour for others trainees. The theory courses are not compulsory and are provided on request of the trainee (it depends on your aeronautic knowledge and capability to learn by yourself).

Powered parachutes
It exists 2 types of powered two seats as well as single seat parachutes : powered paraglider (take off after a brief run) and powered parachutes (take off with wheels) As Voliris Training School (VTS) is located on an airfield with compulsory radio traffic and airfield traffic pattern, the use of a powered paraglider is complicated. Moreover, summer turbulence conditions often limits the training hours in the morning and evening. This is why VTS only train with powered two seat parachutes. Note that the trainings are only done with trainee powered parachute. The training is free for the trainee who buy us his own powered parachute. Otherwise, training fee is 50 Euros an hour. There is a possibility to lease a powered parachute with a purchase agreement. Please contact us for more details.

Airship VOLIRIS 900
The airship Voliris is as far as we know the only two seats microlight airship available. As there is no suitable hangar, the airship is inflated for summer from June to September. However, the specific theoretical and practical training on blimp is very important. That is why we only train patented pilots (on other aeronautic class). Specific blimp theoretical courses takes 35 hours, ground practice 15 hours and flight
